We have wonderful voices in soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Currently, we are primarily looking for tenors.
If you are interested in singing with us, please get in touch with Eugen and Martina via kontakt@chorip.de. The next step is usually that we invite you to take part in a few rehearsals. We rehearse on Thursdays at 7 pm in the «Waschhaus» in Schiffbauergasse 6 in Potsdam. This taster session is the best way to find out whether you feel comfortable and if the choir is for you. Our choirmaster will listen to your singing voice and discuss the next steps with you after two or three rehearsals.
A certain level of commitment and reliability is very important to us. We rehearse our respective programmes intensively and continuously – it is important that everyone takes part and attends rehearsals regularly. In addition to sheet music, we also use sound files – specially recorded for us by our choirmaster – to prepare for rehearsals. We are a super-welcoming choir community, and together with the choirmaster we will help you settle in. We look forward to your contribution to the choir – as a singer and as a person!
We sing a wide range of pieces from all over the world, mostly in the original languages. We also aim to make a visible and audible contribution to peaceful intercultural understanding; we take a stand and therefore also take part in relevant concerts and events.
